HerdDogg, Inc. Closes Series A Financing

HerdDogg, Inc. Announces the Closing of Series A Financing

HerdDogg, the Animal Traceability PlatformTM, announced the closing of its $4M Series A Financing. The capital will be used to accelerate market adoption of its patented solution. HerdDogg's innovative data platform helps livestock producers increase profits and enhances food security.

The new investment was led by the Sheldon Group, LLC and joined by the Open Prairie Rural Opportunities Fund and existing investors.

"HerdDogg directly addresses consumer concerns for food safety while also enabling livestock producers to actually make more money," said Edward Hamburg, Managing Partner of the Sheldon Group. "The platform's ability to automatically collect animal-level data, analyze it in real-time, and send critical information to producers on their desktops or cellphones, sets HerdDogg apart from other players in the animal traceability market."

Open Prairie partner, Jason Wrone added "HerdDogg is uniquely qualified to rapidly scale and penetrate the global livestock supply chain. Its patented technology enables enhanced decision making by producers and other companies to drive operational efficiency and profitability."

Founded in 2015 by Melissa Brandao, HerdDogg delivers a patented, Bluetooth-enabled solution for precision livestock in sharp contrast to the traditional use of RFID technology. "We are very excited to bring HerdDogg's technology to the global livestock industry," said Lou Faust, HerdDogg's CEO. "HerdDogg's solution is a game-changer for producers and for the industry at a time where COVID-19 has had a significant impact. We are uniquely positioned to deliver a real, cost-effective solution to livestock producers."
