Alltech amplifying agriculture’s voice in the global climate conversation at COP30 in Brazil

From New York to Brazil, Alltech continues to champion agriculture’s essential role in a thriving planet through advocacy, storytelling and innovation

[NICHOLASVILLE, Kentucky] - As world leaders, policymakers and sustainability experts gather for the United Nations' Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Brazil, Alltech is stepping forward as a leading voice for the agri-food sector. Through high-level panels, strategic collaborations and screenings of its acclaimed documentary World Without Cows, Alltech is helping to ensure that agriculture — long underrepresented in climate discussions — is recognized as essential to a thriving planet and meaningful climate progress.

"With a presence in more than 140 countries, Alltech's global perspective allows us to see the best of agricultural innovation in action," said Dr. Mark Lyons, president and CEO of Alltech, a global animal nutrition and crop science leader. "Every day, we witness remarkable innovation taking place around the world — new ideas and technologies that are improving agriculture and enhancing its impact on people, animals and the planet. Science and collaboration are driving solutions that strengthen economies, nourish communities and restore our natural resources. This is the true power of agriculture: its ability to shape the future."

Across Brazil, from Brasília to Belém, Alltech will participate in key discussions on the future of sustainable livestock, carbon markets and regenerative food systems. Its World Without Cows documentary will headline multiple events, giving attendees an opportunity to view a 60-minute preview of the documentary and a new 20-minute companion film, World Without Cows Brazil: The Battle for Balance, which highlights Brazil's extraordinary potential to double food production without clearing a single tree through pasture restoration and other regenerative practices. Building momentum: The path to COP30

Alltech's participation in COP30 follows months of active engagement on global stages.

At Climate Week NYC in September, Alltech joined discussions on sustainable livestock systems and carbon markets, underscoring that truly sustainable food production depends as much on soil and land use as on the animals themselves. At the recent FAO Global Conference on Sustainable Livestock Transformation in Rome, the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization hosted a screening of World Without Cows, followed by a panel discussion that featured Dr. Frank Mitloehner, director of The CLEAR Center at the University of California, Davis, who is featured in the documentary.

Across these forums and others, Alltech continues to elevate agriculture's voice on the global stage. Beyond COP30, Alltech remains committed to advancing dialogues, building partnerships and demonstrating that agriculture is not a problem to be solved but a solution to be celebrated.
