Pellet Technology USA (PTUSA) has officially earned the Safe Feed/Safe Food (SF/SF) certification, a nationally recognized standard that confirms the company's robust safety and quality systems across its entire operation.

The SF/SF certification program, developed by the American Feed Industry Association, sets stringent standards for manufacturing practices to ensure the safety of animal food throughout the supply chain. It is designed to reduce the risk of contamination, improve traceability, and promote consistent operational excellence, making it one of the most trusted safety programs in the industry.

For PTUSA, the certification process began more than a year ago and involved a comprehensive review of everything from ingredient sourcing and inventory management to quality assurance, purchasing, and vendor compliance. It also required strict adherence to safety protocols across facility security, pest control, and employee procedures.

"This process challenged us to look more critically at how we manage every detail of our operation," said Mikayla Gaver, Assistant Plant Manager at PTUSA. "It raised the bar for everyone, and now we have stronger systems, better training, and more confidence in the quality of what we deliver."

PTUSA completed a multi-phase audit process including a preliminary assessment, an elective readiness audit, and a final full-day inspection. The company received an excellent rating, reflecting exemplary performance, consistent execution across all evaluated areas, and positioning PTUSA among the best in the industry.

"This certification is the result of hard work and collaboration across every part of our business," said Ellie Antova, General Manager of PTUSA. "We are proud to meet the rigorous requirements of this program, which helps ensure the safety and quality of feed products throughout the supply chain. More importantly, it reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence, giving our customers greater confidence that our products are built on reliable processes, continuous improvement, and a culture that puts product quality and integrity first."
