The plant and the grower finally speak the same language
With MyLedgnd, greenhouse data is made accessible in a practical and straightforward way. This allows growers to get a clear overview of various climate factors and their impact on their crops.
Ledgnd is adding new functionalities to its MyLedgnd software portal. As an independent partner in data-driven cultivation optimization, Ledgnd aims to help growers ‘communicate with their plants' through plant feedback systems. Additionally, users will soon receive daily reports to gain even more insight into crop performance.
With MyLedgnd, greenhouse data is made accessible in a practical and straightforward way. This allows growers to get a clear overview of various climate factors and their impact on their crops. Based on the data that MyLedgnd collects and analyzes, growers can then optimize their cultivation strategies. The MyLedgnd software portal is continuously evolving, as Maarten van Bemmel, Product Owner of MyLedgnd, explains: "By working with plant feedback systems, growers not only gain insight into climate data but also into how crops respond to changes in the greenhouse. All this data is visualized and analyzed in MyLedgnd. In essence, we enable the plant to ‘talk' to the grower, ensuring they finally speak the same language."
New: Daily reports
Soon, MyLedgnd users will also have access to daily reports, providing a quick and easy way to see how their crops have performed and what could have been improved that day. These reports offer precise insights into crop performance on a daily basis and allow growers to better identify climate irregularities or other parameters. Additionally, the reports provide practical tools to solve problems and optimize the cultivation process.
Ledgnd is also currently testing and validating sensors that provide feedback on plant conditions. These sensors measure factors such as transpiration (via leaf temperature), light absorption (fluorescence), and stress levels (derived from microvoltages, similar to a plant's ‘heartbeat'), Van Bemmel explains. "We use these technologies to explore how we can leverage data to optimize plant growth conditions on a large scale. Additionally, we pay close attention to the microclimate around the plant, as this directly impacts how the plant grows and develops."
Visit HortiContact
Curious about these and other developments within MyLedgnd? Ledgnd will highlight these and other developments during HortiContact, taking place from February 18 to 20 at Evenementenhal Gorinchem. The Ledgnd team will be present every day at booth D06.
