LEADING AGRIVOLTAICS STARTUPS OKOVATE AND FUNDUSOL ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP
This collaboration will leverage Okovate Sustainable Energy's expertise in APV origination, project development, and consultation, utilizing Fundusol's Machine Learning-powered agrivoltaic design modeling and forecasting capabilities to best serve farmers, landowners, and communities.
Okovate Sustainable Energy, Inc has announced a strategic partnership with Fundusol, LLC aimed at accelerating the nationwide adoption of crop-integrated agrivoltaics. This collaboration will leverage Okovate Sustainable Energy's expertise in APV origination, project development, and consultation, utilizing Fundusol's Machine Learning-powered agrivoltaic design modeling and forecasting capabilities to best serve farmers, landowners, and communities. This partnership streamlines Okovate's ability to increase landowner revenue streams through agricultural production and solar leasing on site.
Okovate CEO and Co-Founder Miles Braxton commented on the partnership, "Fundusol's advanced modeling and design capabilities are a perfect complement to Okovate's solar development model. Through combining our strengths, we will accelerate the deployment of high-performing agrivoltaic systems that maximize both crop yields and energy production, creating a win-win for farmers, rural communities, and investors."
Fundusol Partner, Michael Bendok comments on the partnership: "Fundusol believes that agrivoltaics is only viable when the priorities of all stakeholders are considered during the design of the solar array and farm operator plan. After three years of designing a one-stop-shop agrivoltaics design tool at Stanford, we have partnered with Okovate to jointly develop agrivoltaics projects. We believe that Okovate puts farmers first throughout the development process, and this partnership allows us to jointly design and develop agrivoltaic systems that are symbiotic from the inception of a project idea. Together, Fundusol and Okovate will bring truly dual-use agrivoltaic systems to life."
