GroGuru to Showcase Its Breakthrough Solution for Strategic Irrigation Management at AgLaunch Future of Ag Field Day
GroGuru's wireless underground system enables permanent installation of soil sensors in field crops, enabling farmers to increase crop yield and more efficiently use water
GroGuru will demonstrate its precision irrigation management solution on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Growing Acres Farm and Rose Creek Farm in Savannah, TN and Selmer, TN, respectively. Attendees will learn more about usage of the GroGuru solution in row crop applications, as well as how AgLaunch farmer's have helped iterate a version of the system that is suitable to scale in row crops.
"GroGuru has been working with Aglaunch and their Farmer Network for a couple of years now, and the experience has been invaluable in terms of refining our product and key features," said Patrick Henry, president and CEO of GroGuru. "The deployments of the GroGuru solution across multiple farms and the Agricenter's Digital Acre has proven to be an important validation of our technology in key markets and crops."
"GroGuru has been the prototypical startup that AgLaunch likes to work with," said Pete Nelson, Executive Director at AgLaunch. "GroGuru is providing a key game-changing technology that enables our farmers to increase crop yield while more efficiently using water and other scarce resources in a sustainable way. Our Farmer Network has enjoyed the interaction with GroGuru and the mutual learning that has occurred in the process."

About GroGuru
GroGuru is a privately held company based in San Diego, CA that provides precision soil and irrigation monitoring systems to the commercial agriculture industry. GroGuru is focused on enabling farmers to increase crop yields while optimally using water, energy and other scarce resources in a sustainable way. GroGuru sells an innovative hardware-enabled subscription-based solution to farmers that enables optimal irrigation. GroGuru's 100 percent wireless underground system (WUGS) enables a permanent installation of soil sensors, even in annual field crops like corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton and sorghum, that have a destructive harvest. GroGuru's WUGS-based systems can be buried below the till depth and communicate through several feet of soil wirelessly, thus eliminating the need for the sensors to be annually installed and removed for seeding and harvesting, respectively, for these annual crops. GroGuru is a portfolio company at the EvoNexus technology incubator, the premier technology incubator in Southern California.
