Laser Technology Boosts Agrochemical Absorption: Partners Wanted for Field Trials

Foliar Laser Boost is a patented tool that enhances agrochemical uptake. We provide the laser; partners contribute field access or trial support to validate this innovation and advance crop science together.

Onteko Inc. Invites Agricultural Partners to Join Field Trials of Foliar Laser Boost, a New Laser-Based Tool to Improve Agrochemical Efficiency

Onteko Inc. has developed Foliar Laser Boost, a patented laser-based system that enhances the uptake of agrochemicals by selectively removing the waxy cuticle barrier on plant leaves—without damaging underlying tissue. This simple pre-treatment dramatically improves the penetration of systemic substances, including nutrients, hormones, and disease treatments.

We are actively seeking agricultural partners—research institutions, agribusinesses, growers, or cooperatives—who face challenges in foliar absorption and are interested in participating in joint field trials. We provide the laser tool and technical support; you provide field access and help advance agricultural science.

Our early results are highly promising:

In citrus, we achieved a significant increase in peptide absorption, as confirmed in trials conducted in collaboration with Texas A&M University.

In sunflower, LIBS spectroscopy confirmed over 450% increased uptake of zinc fertilizer following laser pre-treatment.

Preliminary results in tomato and soybean are also encouraging, and a PhD student has launched a new dissertation based on this line of research.

We welcome the opportunity to share published peer-reviewed studies, white papers, and performance data upon request.

Foliar Laser Boost has the potential to reduce chemical use, increase crop productivity, and improve environmental sustainability. Let's collaborate to bring this innovation to the field—literally.
