Rogo Scales Up in 2019 While Delivering Results Farmers Can Trust

In 2019, Rogo's autonomous soil sampler, the SmartCore, sampled over 100,000 acres from Kansas to Pennsylvania becoming the first fully autonomous operation in row crop agriculture to succeed on a commercial scale.


The SmartCore is more than just a self-driving, self-packaging machine though. It provides soil sample results that farmers can trust. In a study completed by Beck's PFR, the SmartCore was found to reduce the error experienced in traditional soil sampling by 10%! The SmartCore reduces error by using GPS and RTK positioning. This allows the robot to return to the same core point within inches year over year. In addition, the robot is able to extract soil at an exact depth everytime. There is no guessing, no estimating. An 8 inch core, is actually an 8 inch core.

This accurracy and repeatability gives farmers higher returns on their fertilizer investments (by 8.5x according to Becks PFR) and gives them confidence knowing they are giving their soil what it actually needs.
