Case Study from Biome Makers: Biological Input Analysis

Rogitex inc. wanted to verify the effects of their agricultural ag input, Humic Land, on bell pepper on yields during a winter crop. Humic Land is a highly water-soluble organic soil amendment containing high Humic Acids and Fulvic Acids.

The Solution

Rogitex inc. completed BeCrop® Trials to analyze the biological content of the ag-input product, Humic Land. The fields were divided into 4 sampling areas: 3 control (no treatment) and 1 Humic Land. The only difference between control 1, 2, and 3, and the Humic Land test group was the added soil amendment, Humic Land. The other 3 controls were harvested based on the same feed formula. The product was applied in three phases. The 1st application on Aug 15th, 2019: 6 litres of Humic Land soil amendment at 1/250 dilution using drip application, the 2nd application on Sept 5th, 2019: 6 litres of Humic Land soil amendment at 1/250 dilution using drip application, and the 3rd application on Oct 12th, 2019: 6 litres of Humic Land soil amendment at 1/250 dilution using drip application.

BeCrop® Trials showed how the soil microbes were acting in terms of biosustainability, health, and nutrition before and after applying Humic Land to the soil.

Results

After the Humic Land treatment, the nitrogen metabolic pathway increased from low to high, resulting in a 27% higher yield than the 3 controls. BeCrop® Trials allowed Rogitex inc. to test their agricultural input performance and verify functional claims.
