ONDO Smart Farming Solutions has been granted the Grand award for Innovative Startup of Year 2020 in the prestigious Bulgarian contest ‘Innovative Enterprise of the Year'.

ONDO is a Bulgaria-based agritech startup providing advanced precision agriculture automation solutions. Founded at the beginning of 2020, the company already has its first customer installations in Bulgaria and North Macedonia and recently opened its first international office in Durban, South Africa.

The Innovative Enterprise of the Year is one of the most prestigious Bulgarian enterprise contests, taking place under the patronage of the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev. Each year, the contest jury awards the most innovative Bulgarian companies in 8 different categories - market leadership, green innovation, social innovation, innovative startup, digital transformation and others.

The Award Ceremony of the 16th edition of Innovative Enterprise of the Year contest took place on December 18th 2020 in an online format. ONDO Smart Farming solutions grabbed the Grand award in category ‘Innovative startup of Year 2020', thanks to the creation and market expansion of the smart ONDO solutions for automated farm management and control, focused on precision irrigation, fertigation, climate control and monitoring for all crops.

The finalists in the Innovative Enterprise of the Year contest get the privilege to use the recognition "Excellence in innovation" given for top achievements, impact and efficiency of innovations created by Bulgarian enterprises. The finalists also have the opportunity to get in touch with a number of international partners and clients in 60+ countries via the Еnterprise Europe Network, which is a co-organizer of this competition.
