GROWMARK Celebrates One Year Anniversary of AgValidity Technology Testing Program

AgValidity has successfully partnered with dozens of technology companies

Bloomington, Ill. (AgPR) May 12, 2020 - With technology powering more of our professional and personal lives in this new age of social distancing, GROWMARK's AgValidity program is more vital than ever. And this month, the AgValidity team is celebrating its first year of delivering value to GROWMARK/FS customers.

With new technology products from both legacy and startup companies bombarding the agricultural market every day, AgValidity was designed to focus on research and development to cut through the clutter and bring FS customers the best combination of personalized solutions. In its first 12 months, the program vetted dozens of products through hands-on testing at FS-branded locations through North America.

"We learned agriculture is dynamic so building data sets, models and true use cases can be difficult and patience is needed," said Lance Ruppert, director of agronomy marketing technology for GROWMARK. "The breadth of the GROWMARK System is critical as multiple sites across a large geography helps minimize the effects of soil type and weather on data analysis."

AgValidity is currently working with FS customers across the country on test trials, ranging in variety from bio stimulants and biologicals, to aerial technology to help growers analyze potential problem spots more efficiently.

"Planning and communication is very important in this process," said Mark Orr, GROWMARK vice president of agronomy. "AgValidity is key in lining up cooperators, getting products in place, and data collection. The sum of these activities saves our partners and customers from losing precious time during valuable growing seasons."
