48SPARKS™ Launched to Boost On-farm Technology Adoption

“...we can help with effective field-level engagement and storytelling, whether it’s biologicals, robotics, AI, or data connectivity.”

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AgPR) Nov. 20, 2025 - Telling agriculture's compelling stories and encouraging adoption of innovative ag technology are the key drivers behind 48SPARKS™ (www.48Sparks.com), a new spin-off video production and media company officially launched here today by The Elliott Group, (www.wideopenwindow.com).

"There are many bright innovators with technology to help crop producers grow more, work smarter, and make the most of every acre, but many of those players struggle with expressing their benefits to those same producers," said K. Elliott Nowels, Founder and CEO of The Elliott Group, in making the announcement at the 48SPARKS™ studio here today "That's where we can help with effective field-level engagement and storytelling, whether it's biologicals, robotics, AI, or data connectivity."

Kelly Nowels and Cody Nowels are co-founders of the new service. During the past several years, Elliott says his sons have gained first-hand experience with adoption during planting, growing and harvesting of a variety of crops from Maryland to Washington and lots of fields in between. "As you might imagine, they bring a whole new dimension to capturing the action and telling the story," he smiles. "I learn more from them every day."

Cody holds a degree in film production from Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. His credits include work for Ag Gateway, Raven, Valent BioSciences and most recently for Meristem Crop Performance in the introduction of their patented BioCapsule® Technology. He has also worked for the Olympic Broadcasting System during the Olympic Games in Japan and Brazil. He sees great opportunity in bringing a more professional approach to storytelling in the food and agriculture sector - one that's more creative, impactful, and practical.

"We are very good at in-field location production and find that by being a little more creative, we can achieve communication goals and exceed expectations with just another quarter-turn here and there," Cody says. "Our desire is to organize, direct and produce high-quality, impactful material, but at a practical price-point."

Kelly has more than a decade of experience in web design and development and has helped build and launch websites for a wide range of companies, from computer makers and financial services to art galleries and whiskey-makers. He co-founded Pocketknife, a web development studio, in 2013 and will be running the western office for 48SPARKS from his home in the Seattle area.

"Your website is usually the first place people go to get a feel for your business," he says. "A clear, modern site builds trust and helps potential customers understand why you're the right choice."
