Greenhouse Grower Magazine and Indoor Ag-Con will host "Women in Agriculture," a panel discussion featuring women leaders from Fluence by Osram, AppHarvest, LMS Building Systems and Generation Permaculture Design. The latest topic to join the Indoor Ag-Conversations free webinar series, the program will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 2-3 pm EST.

Moderated by Greenhouse Grower Editor Janeen Wright, the panel will include Corinne Wilder, Vice President, Global Commercial Operations, Fluence By OSRAM; Amy Samples, Director of Community Outreach and People Programs, AppHarvest; Erika Summers, Sales Engineer, LMS Building Systems; Charlotte Prud'Homme, Founder, Generation Permaculture Design.

During the inspiring and insightful 60-minute program, the panel will discuss a range of topics, including:

• What challenges face women in the different sectors of the agriculture industry
• How can we empower other women and what can we do to inspire the next generation of women in agriculture

Corinne Wilder, Vice President, Global Commercial Operations, Fluence By Osram:
Before she was vice president of global commercial operations at Fluence—even before she was a marine biologist—Corinne Wilder was an explorer. Corinne has spent her career fusing her childhood love for science with the rigors of international business development. Today, Corinne serves as the vice president of global commercial operations and is responsible for presenting sales reports and analytics for internal operations, heading the company's utility rebates and incentives program, and directing internal processes to meet strategic goals for the cannabis and commercial food markets.

Erika Summers, Sales Engineer, LMS Building Systems:
Erika Summers is sales engineer for LMS Building Systems, a Trane franchise office, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Erika is a graduate of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. She has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and previous experience in both the automotive industry and CEA engineering. Erika has a deep passion for CEA and tackling airflow and humidity mitigation problems in the industry. She is an avid supporter of holistic plant-based diets and local food production.

Amy Samples, Director of Community Outreach & People Programs, AppHarvest:
Amy Samples, a Kentucky native, brings years of specialized experience and enthusiasm to the AppHarvest team. Her focus with the company includes community partnerships and educational programs. Prior to joining AppHarvest, Amy provided operations management for a regional land trust in Kentucky and she spent several years with The Nature Conservancy. In support of university extension, Amy has also provided community planning outreach and research coordination. Amy holds a master's degree from the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and Environment and a bachelor's degree from Clemson University.

Charlotte Prud'Homme, Founder, Generation Permaculture Design:
Charlotte Prud'Homme is Founder of agriculture education and community collective, Generation Permaculture Design. Most recently, she was Food Security Manager and Permaculture Teacher at The Island School, Cape Eleuthera, Bahamas. A native French speaker from Montreal who grew up in New Jersey, Charlotte Prud'Homme earned her BA and MA from American University in Washington, D.C. where she studied international development, global health, environmental peace building and sustainability agriculture with a focus in regenerative agriculture and food security.
