Compass Technology Group Launches Next-Generation Peanut Moisture Measurement System

The Peanut Moisture Measurement System (PMMS) was developed for the peanut industry with direct input from farmers and buying points. It provides fast and accurate in-shell moisture readings, eliminating the need for shelling, so testing can be done in the field or drying shed with results that match the buying point. Using 5 GHz microwave technology, it measures moisture 6% to 20% within ±0.5% points at peanut temperatures ranging from 32°F to 122°F and delivers results in just 30 seconds. The system is built with the right sample volume for downstream testing, an intuitive three-button touchscreen with USB connectivity, and rugged construction that requires minimal maintenance since the plastic slide gate for samples is the only moving part.
