Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement Announces Scholarship Recipients

The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement has announced the ten students who will be awarded $10,000 to pursue their agricultural studies.

The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement has announced the winners of their 2018 scholarship program. These ten students will be awarded $10,000 each to pursue their careers in the agriculture industry. The recipients are:


Seth Bollinger of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, a senior at Ephrata High School
Henry Brunnett of Westminster, Maryland, a senior at Westminster High School
Cullen Dixon of Frackville, Pennsylvania, a junior at Penn State University
Tyson Franklin of Wilmington, Delaware, a senior at Thomas McKean High School
Ellie Grossnickle of Myersville, Maryland, a sophomore at Virginia Tech
Hannah Jo of Bear, Delaware, a senior at Tall Oaks Classical School
Timothy Mulderrig of Middletown, Delaware, a senior at Middletown High School
Justin Petrie of Stephens City, Virginia, a freshman at Virginia Tech
Sarah Rassler of New Tripoli, Pennsylvania, a junior at Penn State University
Kelcey Trewin of Freeland, Maryland, a junior at the University of Maryland, College Park
"We are thrilled to announce the ten winners of this years scholarship program," says Ralph Robertson, Chairman of the Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement. "These bright and talented students impressed all of us with their applications, illustrating the important role agriculture has played in their lives thus far. We are excited to see them impact the future of our industry."

The non-profit Foundation was established in 2015 and is funded by participating association MidAtlantic Farm Credit. The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancements scholarship program awards ten scholarships, each valued at $10,000, to high school seniors or students currently enrolled in an advanced educational program. The applicants must be planning to pursue a career in agriculture and reside in a county within MidAtlantic Farm Credits five-state territory.

"We received over 120 applications again this year from students across our region, making the selection process a challenging one," adds Robertson. "As a farmer myself, I am very confident that the future of agriculture is in good hands. I would encourage any student considering a career in this industry to apply for our scholarship program next year."
